  1. I think integrating technology is useful for all students because it encourages students to interact with the material being learned, and it is presented in an interesting and engaging way. I think it will best support our students in that there are visuals, hands-on activities, and kinesthetic outlets for students who may be non-speakers. A win-win! :)

  2. 1. Technology is naturally engaging to many kids.
2.It is a way to organize all I have taught without having papers everywhere. Also, it can help me to present visuals to students, model how to use strategies and graphic organizers, and engage my learners in the learning process.

  4. 1. Students need to know how to use technology and often they know how to use it better than we do.
    2. Using the Smart Board in any classroom is going to make the students more interested in the lesson. Using the Smart Board in the ESL classroom provides an easy way to provide visuals and show students how to use websites.

  6. Integrating technology into the classroom is AWESOME and cool!! It allows students to move around the classroom and gets them out of their seats--total physical response. It also gives them a chance to see and use technology for learning, unlike constant playing of video games for mere entertainment. Integrating technology also brings a whole new atmosphere of fun to the learning game.

SMART boards can definitely help support ELL instruction by offering hands-on activities and manipulatives. It provides immediate feedback using such things as the voting and survey tools. SMART Boards enhance visuals such as illustrations, charts, and graphs...and oh, so much more!!

  7. Immediate visuals for high level or abstract vocabulary help immensely and those images can be manipulated very easily. This is one technology that speeds up instruction rather than hinder it.

Vocabulary instruction is much easier and saves a lot of paper.
Students are motivated by the visuals and sound.
